Operator received a call from a dead line. Caller said: “TURN IT DOWN.”
EVIDENCE
• Shortwave tape: sustained metallic horn + brief modulated segment
• Phone record: incoming call listed as [██████] (not a valid exchange)
• Environmental: dogs howled for 12 minutes then stopped simultaneously
FIELD NOTES
One witness reported the sound “vibrating in teeth.” Playback volume changes did not reduce sensation.
